It’s the holidays, so everywhere you look and turn are sweet treats and tempting seasonal cookies, chocolates, and cakes you would love to dig your face into. Let’s not throw away all of the hard work of eating healthy and being fit this holiday season. Indulge in my nutty, milky, good for you cookies and you’ll forget about all of the peppermint bark, fruit cakes, and egg nog…. hopefully.
If you’ve ever thought there is no such thing as a “healthy” cookie, think again. Today I had to babysit my favorite 2 and 4 year old girls, and their lovely mother informed me upon my arrival that she made a fresh batch of almond butter cookies. She advised me that they are addicting and she had 5 herself. Granted, they were mini but I was doomed after the first bite. I got to thinking of how I could amp up the recipe even more!
